'The Ugly Sisters', Rash Dash, Northern Stage at St Stephen's Wed 15th Aug 12, Review by Rosie Cross, Highlights

Review
A somewhat different spin on the Cinderella story, told from the perspective of the Ugly Sisters.   High energy, raw, brash and loud rock music (fine for the late night venue), dance, singing and movement.   I loved the sequence with the sequencer.
Presented a harsh opinion on TV Talent shows and resulting celebrity.

Why is the work suitable or not suitable / ready for rural touring ?
Probably too expensive to tour, what with the band and equipment .   Also lighting and overhead runner required (to hold the curtain in the final scene)
Why would you book them ?  or  Why wouldn’t you book them ?
No, because I think the show is designed  and destined for cabaret, clubs etc.
Why would it be worth pursuing this company to consider work in the future? Or not  ?
Probably not; not unless the change their format drastically.   But I don’t see why they should want to change.   I presume they’re getting loads of work anyway.
