Kabaret Mimika 'The Fairy Tale Forest' , Ukrainian Club, Thur 16 Aug 12, Review by Rosie Cross, Highlights

Review
The ground floor dining and sitting rooms knocked together  in a  wonderfully shambolic  Victorian  building was the setting for this delightful late night treat.  1960s wallpaper and light fittings and a fusty smelling bar in the cellar.  But somehow just right for the 2 wacky Polish mime artists.   Lovely direct wordless communication with the audience. Lots of audience participation.   Appealed to my sense of the ridiculous.   Simple, but very proficient and entertaining madness.

Why is the work suitable or not suitable / ready for rural touring ?
Yes.  Minimal set and lighting.   It doesn’t need the smoke machine!  -and either it or the barbeque outside set off the fire alarm in the middle of the evening!
Why would you book them ?  or  Why wouldn’t you book them ?
Yes, but I need to find out if they spend much time in the UK – and whether they need work permits etc.
Why would it be worth pursuing this company to consider work in the future? Or not  ?
It would be worth it.  As long  as they’re available and able to tour. Will look into it.
