Review ** (for the trapeze) A one man show. The tale of an individual who has grown up with one lung and has spent his adult life touring with a Sideshow or Freak Show. An able performer, but the highlight was the point where he performed on the trapeze. The director needs to tell him that he is performing in a studio space - not the Coliseum. There was one level of volume throughout – very loud. I found it difficult to empathise with the characters in the story and the trick with the nail hammered up the nose at the end did nothing to raise my interest. The items of set were bulky and to some extent unnecessary. The lighting was competent, but the centre stage spot (which was used a lot) cast a shadow of the trapeze rope across the performers face.
