This year at the Edinburgh Festival there will be a contingent of around 14 rural touring promoters accompanied by scheme managers from 5 rural touring schemes in the north of England. This merry band of programmers and promoters will be scouring the festival for the very best new artists and companies to bring on to the rural touring circuit. The gang will also be aiming to raise the profile of rural touring and promote the opportunities available to companies through this circuit.
Over the course of the festival the promoters and programmers will see and review as many shows as they can cram into their visit.
Reviews of shows along with the attendees' festival experiences and stories will be posted here from mid August.
